Chic – Dance Dance Dance (Yowsah! Yowsah! Yowsah!) (Buddah Records)

Released on Buddah Records back in 1977, ‘Dance, Dance Dance’ introduced not only a new group (around Nile Rodgers and the late Bernard Edwards) but also a new appraoch in the history of Disco and more widely music: the one of Chic, blending Disco, Soul and Funk elements, with production work almost taking the centerstage. It would be the first of an impressive series of classics for them as for other artists such as Sister Sledge, Norma Jean, Sheila & B Devotion, if not Madonna and even David Bowie!
Alfa Anderson would take actively a part of it as a backing singer with Luci Martin, the late Luther Vandross and Fonzi Thornton to name but a few…
