Dan Hartman – Relight My Fire (Blue Sky)

Harrisburg, PA-born Dan Hartman made so to say his classes along with the brothers WinterJohnny and Edgar – respective bands of the name, developping his skills as both a songwriter and a multi -intrumentist before launching his solo career in the second half of the 70’s.
He then would make himself a name in the Disco scene with gems such as ‘Instant Replay’, ‘Countdown/This Is it’ and the aformentioned, featuring Loleatta Holloway on vocals, followed a few years later by ‘I Can Dream About You’ and ‘We Are The Young’. Also the producer of the memorable ‘Love Sensation’ for Loleatta Holloway, his music influenced many people from Black Box to Take That and Lulu to name but a few…
Hartman sadly died on Mar 22, 1994 of an AIDS-related brain tumor at his Westport, CT home, aged 43.
