David A. Stewart feat. Candy Dulfer – Lily Was Here (Anxious)

An early talent, Candy Dulfer started playing at the age of 6, founded her group – Funky Suff – 8 years later, then released her debut album – ‘Saxuality’ – another 7 years after…
In the meantime, she got to play alongside Prince on stage back in 1988 (eventually appearing on the video of ‘Partyman’), and also did session work with Eurythmics guitarist and producer Dave Stewart.
From her meeting with the latter would appear the memorable ‘Lily Was Here’, a cut recorded as a part of the soundtrack of the 1989 Ben Verbong directed film, ‘De Kassière’ (‘The Cashier’), and eventually released soon after as a single, and soon before the release of her debut-album…
