L.T.D. – Love Ballad (A&M)

Born in providence, Rhode Island, Jeffrey Osborne happened to be the youngest of a 12 children family with some of them involved in the music industry such as his brother Billy who, just like him would become a member of L.T.D. (Love, Togetherness & Devotion) back in the first half of the 70’s
Serving as the lead (tenor) singer of the group, with production work by the likes of Larry and Fonce Mizell, Osborne and cohorts would score one of their biggest successes ever under the form of this outstanding ballad written by Skip Scarborough, taken from their 1976 released ‘Love To The World’ album. A song eventually covered by George Benson soon after and sampled by De La Soul (among many others) a few years later.
He and his brother both left L.T.D. in 1978 to start solo careers. His solo success including 5 gold and platinum albums…
