Margo’s Kool Out Crew – Death Rap

Most Wanted! Margo’s Kool Out Crew – Death Rap (Heavenly Star Records)

On one of the numerous labels run or co-run by Peter Brown which became synonymous with the gold mine for countless lovers of top quality music.
Troy Rainey joining Bernard Thomas and Peter Brown, remembered for the production of Shift‘s boiling synth led ‘Roller Rink Funk’. The threesome therefore crafting the funky Hip-Hop fuelled ‘Death Rap’ for the transient Margo’s Kool Out Crew. A cut which somehow came as an echo to Sugarhill Gang‘s classic ‘Rapper’s Delight’. But also, and as a direct consequence, to Chic‘s ‘Good Times’!

Looking for it? Make sure to definitely get the original pressing as opposed to its reedition back in 2004 on a fake Heavenly Star Records label which has no value!!!

Overview
Margo’s Kool Out Crew is another of those countless transient studio concepts that saw the ligt back in the day. Their track showing its producers ability to cover extra genres in addition to Disco and Funk. Arranged by Charles Scott, James Ferguson and Congas Oliba. With Troy Rainey, Bernard Thomas and Peter Brown left in charge of the production.

A typical approach which one most likely would hardly find anywhere else but on these labels Brown has been associated with.
