Mr Raoul K – Sene Kela (Ron Trent Remix) (Baobab Music)

Hailing from Agboville, Ivory Coast, although based in Germany since the beginning of the nineties, Raoul Konan, better known as Mr Raoul K, has so to say learnt how to create music the way he would get into his profession (he worked as a carpenter to buy his studio equipment!). In other words, one step after another. Something one could sort of feel on the way he’s building his compositions in a very progressive way, since his debut back in 2011. On such circumstances, not that surprising to see Chicago Deep House guru Ron Trent involved on what stands as the part 2 of his ‘Still Living In Slavery’ 3 X 12″ album whereas are to be found the elements of his own signature, turning the whole into a fascinating adventure, meanwhile adding extra space to expand the emphasis of the African chants responding to kalimba led parts…
