Nina Simone – My Way (Comme d'habitude) (RCA Victor)

Words are simply missing to capture the feeling left by this unique singer and her legacy, with classics such as ‘Stompin’ At The Savoy’, ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’ (released in 1961!), ‘See Line Woman’, ‘Strange Fruit’, and the list goes on. Nina Simone had an ear on almost everything, eventually covering songs she would make her unique way such as Screamin’ Jay Hawkins‘s ‘I Put A Spell On You’, Jacques Brel‘s ‘Ne me quitte pas’, etc. delivering this incredible rendition of Claude François‘s classic ‘Comme d’habitude’ (from her 1971 released ‘here Comes The Sun’ album) under the direction of Harold Wheeler, which Frank Sinatra initially covered, bringing English lyrics and therefore having it re-titled ‘My Way’…
