This Beat Is Mine! (*) Peven Everett – Feelin’ Who You Are (Original Drum Cartell Unreleased Full Length Mix) (Trippin’ Records)
Here in the Windy City, we have one of the most talented and versatile artists of his generation. I hardly understand though how Peven Everett never managed to get a higher recognition. I just hope his time will come at the end. Meanwhile Neter Supreme, who remixed this song, definitely delivered the best version of it, givin’ it such a fascinating progression. In both a subtle and uplifting way which perfectly fits with the lyrics. Don’t you think?
‘Feelin’ Who You Are’… We just need more music like this. Last but not least, I would like to thank you, IDMW, for giving this an echo. But also for the so many unsung treasures you give space to…
This Beat Is Mine (*)
Once in a week (on Wednesdays), IDMW is left with you at the command!
For this to happen, nothing’s more easy… What you’ve just got to do is drop us a line while using our contact form and let us know about your favorite piece of music (*), along with a review explaining what it suggests you and why people should dig it. And the best of it will be given a publication with your credit the week after.
With warm thanks to Chicago, IL-based correspondent, JoAnn Bailey, for this week’s suggestion…
Gladly welcoming yours to be published next Wednesday. On your marks!
