Amel Larrieux – Get Up (Ron Trent Vox Mix)

Lost but not least! Amel Larrieux – Get Up (Ron Trent Vox Mix) (550 Music)

No video available for this, but instead a player!

‘Get Up’ most likely opened the 1999 released ‘Infinite Possibilities’. An album which marked former Groove Theory‘s singer Amel Larrieux‘s debut as a solo artist as a matter of fact.

Delivered in various sets of remixes including this double 12″ that I would get from Giant Step back in the day. And featuring reworks by the likes of Jephté Guillaume and Ron Trent.

The latter, here on duties, crafting this smooth and jazzy percussive joint. A track on which a variation of lush keys including a vibraphone respond to Larrieux‘s sultry voice. Its obvious syncopation makin’ it hard to not get up (and dance) when havin’ a listen to it…

One of these blasts from the past…

What’s the value of your vinyl record?
