AmFlow feat. Koffee – Raw Uncut (Remix)

Single Of The Week: AmFlow feat. Koffee – Raw Uncut (Louie Vega Remix) (Vega Records)

In “Raw Uncut”, we have “Raw”. An adjective describing something completely hardcore and awesome. Anything truly amazing and cool. Anything tight in the ultimate way. Itself frequently followed by shit as in “raw shit”. Then “Uncut” which could be understood as “not edited shortened or censored”. In other words, something we could describe as “rough and ready”, “unvarnished” or “gritty”. With the whole most likely generating an overall impression of in yer face/straight to the point delivery…

A ‘Raw Uncut’… No doubt as to how it definitely is. From the vocal delivery of NYC floetress Koffee (Paige). To the remixing work courtesy of Louie Vega. All in all bringin’ the message of this gem to the next limit. Hard to not see some connections musically speakin’ with Kerri Chandler. Meanwhile Koffee somehow brings us back to the souvenir of Blaze‘s gems such as ‘Seasons Of Love’ or ‘My Beat’. With the whole, like it or not, more than less echoing to the ongoing atmosphere Stateside in many aspects of the term.

You wouldn’t hear this anywhere else, as a matter of fact. Because this is “raw uncut hardcore!” A cut which initially appeared as a part of the Vega Records Amsterdam Dance Event 2018 Sampler 5 × Vinyl 12″ package.

Overview
Koffee Paige, aka The Flo-etress first got into writing at the age of 7. Performing as a Hip-Hop artist in the late 80’s, she eventually calls her writing style “double entendre”. “Entendre” in French standing for “hearing” or “understanding”.
As a matter of fact, Koffee‘s both style and vocals place her in a category where she stands alone. And no doubt as to how her vocals can pretty much make the sensation when comin’ along with a powerful composition or live music.

As an author, the lady isn’t afraid to touch any realistic subject. In addition to this, she has pretty much contributed bringing her art to new horizons. And, by that, the House Music scene, working with an impressive array of luminaries. From Quentin Harris to Timmy Regisford and Tony Humphries. Not to mention DJ Spinna and Josh Milan to name a few. With the last ones adding their names to the list being none other than Adam Rios and Mark Lewis together as AmFlow. This on the firing ‘Raw Uncut’ with alternative remixes by the likes of Louie Vega.
