Angela Bofill – Too Tough (Long Version)

Classics: Angela Bofill – Too Tough (Long Version)

“He’s too tough for me, he’s from another scene…”

Remembered for her ballad – ‘You’re A Special Part of Me’ recorded along with Johnny Mathis back in 1984 – Angela Bofill has collaborated with a whole range of artists. From Norman Connors to The System. But also George Duke and Dave Gruisin. Not to mention drummer/producer Narada Michael Walden on her 1982 released ‘Too Tough’ album. Its title cut carrying the funky signature of the latter. Thus featuring luminaries such as Randy Jackson (bass), Nat Adderley, Jr. (keyboards) and Marc Russo (saxophone) among others. The whole with horn arrangements courtesy of Jerry Hey. All in all in a vein not that far from Johnny Gill and Stacy Lattisaw‘s ‘Blcok Party’ which Walden also came to produce back in 1984.

‘Too Tough’ and too firing as well, don’t you think???

What’s the value of your vinyl record?
