Bluey – Life Between The Notes (Dôme Records)

Responsible for countless Jazz/Funk fuelled grooves along with time, most likely as the leader of Incognito, Jean-Paul Bluey Maunick takin’ the centerstage on his second solo album, surrounded by long time collaborators Dominic Ski Oakenfull, Matt Cooper, Richard Bull, Graham Harvey and Dan ‘JD 73’ Goldman.
The title cut of this new offering sees him vibrantly singing on this sophisticated smooth Soul/Jazz joint over a funky bassline. Definitely seems like the life he mentions as between the notes drives his outstanding creativity…
