Lost but not least! Brian Christopher – Alone With You (Brian Christopher)
‘Alone With You…’ Or most definitely one of these tracks we would have welcomed in our 10 essential 2013 tracks!
An independent R&B singer, WDC-based Brian Christopher is gifted with one of the most beautiful voices one can think of. Somehow reminding of Will Downing. As musicwise, seeing him vibrantly crooning over Jazz influenced cool jams. The outstanding ‘Alone With You’ perfectly illustrating what our man is about. And gettin’ us to welcome it back then as a Single Of The Week in our Facebook page.

No matter when… The first time you get to hear Brian Christopher singin’ is a real emotion in itself. With his voice and performance gettin’ you in the mood of the old days. This when great music was all around and soothing to the soul. A Washingtonian, Brian just continues the great legacy of awesome singers that have come out from the WDC area.
Christopher graduated from Suitland High School (Suitland, MD) in 1993 as part of the Visual and Performing Arts program. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA for a year and eventually graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 1998 where he began to refine his songwriting skills. In 1999, Christopher married and, for the next decade, spent most of his time singing and writing for several different church gospel groups and performing occasionally with local bands.
In 2010, Brian released his debut-album – ‘All Of Me’ – to critical acclaim. With its lead single – ‘I Wonder’ winnin’ the New Music competition (Majic 102.3FM Washington, DC). This bringin’ him to several local and out of town performance dates. And by 2012, he slowed down to release ‘Just How You Feel’, his first single in two years.
The single landed him notoriety abroad and an invitation to Japan for a three month singing stint. From then, Christopher returned to the States and immediately teamed up withn Jazz/R&B vocalist, Mycah Chevalier to co-owrite his third single, ‘In The Groove’. The song soared to the #3 position on the UK Soul Charts and was eventually considered for nomination for the 56th Grammy Awards.
Off its success, he then collaborated with French producer Fran’Z of BigBox Recordings on his fourth release. In other words, a soulful House tune by the likes of ‘Love Take All Of Me’ which saw the light in 2013 and shot to #5 on the Soul Energy House Chart.
The same year seeing him releasing two absolute masterpieces. From ‘The Way’ to ‘Alone With You’, both with production work by the likes of Dawoud Said. Then the beginning of 2014 saw him adding the vibrant ‘I Was Wrong’ to his credit. Itself depicting the story of a man who realizes that after leaving and treating his woman badly in the past she is all he ever wanted.
In 2015, he re-released his debut project, ‘All Of Me (Revisited)’. Thus with all new arrangements on gems like ‘I Wonder’ and ‘Girl Like You’. Not to mention ‘No More Games’. Meanwhile 2016 saw him writing the soothing ‘Let’s Take the Time to Falll In Love’ for Melanie Roberts with production work courtesy of Smoothbeatsonly.
All in all, Brian’s performance leaves you feeling like you could listen to him all night then keeps you asking for more…
