Carly Simon – Why (Mirage)

A contralto singer, Carly Simon first came to fame in the 1970’s with classics such as ‘You Belong To Me’, ‘Mockingbird’ (a duet with her former husband, James Taylor), ‘Nobody Does It Better’ (from the 1977 James Bond film ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, with her signature cut being without a single doubt ‘You’re So Vain’.
She would expand her expression territory in 1982, teaming up with Nile Rodgers and the late Bernard Edward of the Chic fame on the mellow ‘Why’, taken from the Jonathan Kaufer directed ‘Soup For One’ film…
