This Beat Is Mine! (*) Community People – Education Wrap (Delmar International Records, Inc.)
Syria, Iraq, Sudan, wherever… OMG, when is this horror around going to end? In other words, it’s as if we were goin’ back to the sad souvenir of the sixties/seventies with the Vietnam War. If not earlier on!
Haven’t we learnt anything since? Is it that this progressive trend which has seen us bombarded with violence from films to video games for ages already is to become a like a daily reality? When will we cease reproducing the errors of our elders???
I’m so pissed off and sad to say that such an ongoing violence in the world was more or less predictable. Most likely because of an obvious lack of education /instruction / knowledge. This, in addition to an ongoing loss of the sense of values.
It’s just time for everybody to wake up, beginning with those in charge of the responsabilities as a matter of fact! Politicians, radio and TV programers, journalists, film makers, teachers, parents. This boiling jazzy Disco/Rap cut by the likes of Community People (never understood why they didn’t manage to release more than this one) sounding as an unlikely echo to Nina Simone‘s ‘Everything Must Change’.
With my deepest thanks to indamixworldwide for sharing this…
This Beat Is Mine! (*)
Once in a week (on Wednesdays), we leave you at the command of IDMW…
For this to happen, nothing’s more easy… What you’ve just got to do is drop us a line while using our contact form and let us know about your favorite piece of music (*), along with a review explaining what it suggests you and why people should dig it. And the best of it will be given a publication with your credit the week after.
With warm thanks to Trenton, NJ-based correspondent, Hank Thompson, for this week’s suggestion…
Gladly welcoming yours to be published next Wednesday. On your marks!
