The daughter of Eddie Guzman of the Rare Earth fame, the only successful all-White band on Motown (remember ‘Get Ready’), Marissa Guzman got naturally surrounded by music at an early age. Enough to have her havin’ like no doubt at the perspective of getting back to it. This after a working period in the corporate.

From then, she learnt the necessary processes such as writing, producing and recording. Eventually releasing her first album – ‘Joy Road’ – back in 2011. With her debut-single – ‘Time To Go’ – coming straight to #1 position on Traxsource, with remix by the likes of Black Coffee. Sufficient to make impression in South Africa. Thus leading her to eventually record ‘No Doubt’ along with Cuebur as a part of his 2013 ‘For Headz Only’ album on Soul Candi.
