[DJ Indamix] – Isa Vis

DJ IndamixIsa Vis
DJ, producer and founder/CEO of the Italian record company LadyMarySound International.
Isa Vis has had several record deals in the early years of her career: Her records (which included House Music, Lounge, Electronica and EDM) were released on US, UK and Italian labels, until she fell in love with Deep House and decided to have her own imprint.

The label’s debut release in 2012 was ‘Dear Mother’ (an old school underground jam) in co-production with Chicago House singer Meechie (former Maurice Joshua‘s vocalist). Today, she has over 50 recording artists from 12 countries on her label’s roster, in association with her long term partner-in-crime, DJ Ritchie.

The tracks Isa are be remembered for will be the timeless ‘Who is’, a house classic dwelling the charts since late 2012. The uplifting ‘Live Your Life’ (with a stunning vocal performance by Wendy Lewis and an unforgettable remix by Jonny Montana) which was voted among the 50 best tracks of 2013. The ‘Long Journey’ project (with touching spoken word by Kimicoh, World Peace Ambassador), a charity release to help New York’s abandoned dogs and cats and, last but not least ‘The Moments In Deep EP’ with NYC-based vocalist and poetess Mona Bode, one of the sexiest voices in House Music.

Currently, Isa is a resident DJ on Ibiza Live Radio (Spain) and Urban Movement Radio (Australia). She’s often invited on other radio stations all over the world, i.e. DJ International of Chicago.

As this week’s featured DJ on IDMW, Isa Vis wants to take the chance to send her message to the younger DJ’s: “What makes an outstanding DJ is a great selection! Don’t be impressed by mainstream names, Dig in deep in the stores, spin what others don’t, and have your own sound. Lastly, yes, there’s nothing wrong with looking HOT when playing in a club… as long as your music is wonderful.”
