Overview
– A native of South Carolina, Darryl D’Bonneau stands among the most beautiful voices in the circuit. Most likely belonging to the first league along with the late K.T. Brooks. But also Arnold Jarvis and Robert Owens. He made his debut back in 1992 with ‘More Than Anything’. The first in a impressive series of impressive gems. Beginning with the 2000 Disco-influenced ‘Stop Playing With My Mind’ built on a sample of Black Ivory‘s classic ‘Mainline’. Meanwhile scoring his biggest success along with Barbara Tucker. With other tracks worth the listen including ‘A Better Way’ and ‘Revenge’. But also the incredible ‘Miracles’ which is probably his most vibrant performance ever. With respective remixing work courtesy of 83 West, Scott Wozniak and Jon Cutler. Three cuts one could find on his 2008 ‘Remixed, Reworked & Reimagined’ album on Jellybean Soul.

Last but not least, he also teamed up with DJ Romain on the bumpin’ bass-driven ‘It’s The Spirit’. And he joined forces with Fuzion and K.T. Brooks. Altogether comin’ up with the uplifting ‘Unity (We Can Do This)’. Then with Jamie Lewis and Soulstar Syndicate on the ‘housetalgic’ ‘Do You Remember’.
