H20 feat. Billie – Nobody’s Business (Euro Vocal)

Classics: H20 featuring Billie – Nobody’s Business (Euro Vocal) (Liquid Groove)

With thanks to my countless travels, I guess I managed to grab pieces of music from almost everywhere I might have been goin’. Even in places you wouldn’t expect something might have been happening at the time. Like Iceland, Hungary, Austria and even Switzerland. With the latter eventually sending like a colony in Miami during the Winter Music Conference. Among its members, Stephan Mandrax. A man remembered for his venture as Shakedown which he formed with his brother, Seb. But also for this firing remix of ‘Nobody’s Business’ along with Oliver Stumm back in 1996.

Diggin’ deeper, and you’ll realize H20‘s thing is a cover version. Unless a revamp of Billie (Brown)’s song of the likes that saw the likes 10 years before on Fleetwood Records with writing and production work by the likes of Boyd Jarvis and Timmy Regisford. And what a work Mandrax and Stumm did. Turning it into a devastating keyboards led drumbeat over a slammin’ bassline. The whole along with
the singer irresistibly her thing…
A song given a set of extra remixes when licensed soon after on UK label AM:PM.

‘Nobody’s Business’? Well it could have pretty well been titled ‘Everybody’s Business’ at the end. As it’s so electrifying, even almost 20 years after its release by the time writing those lines…

What’s the value of your vinyl record?
