Janis Ian – Fly Too High (Columbia)

Inspired by the work of folk singer Joan Baez vocally speaking, Janis started learning at the age of 6, then by 10 got to the organ, harpsichord, French horn, flute and guitar, prior writing her first song at the age of 12.
She would score one of her biggest classic along with arranger Harold Faltermeyer and Disco Don Giorgio Moroder under the form of this 4X12 beat-based Disco jazzy joint displaying the whole range of her talent back in 1979. A cut taken from her ‘Night Rains’ album, equally remembered as her contribution to the soundtrack of Jodie Foster‘s film ‘Foxes’…
