Linx – You’re Lying (Aves/Chrysalis)

Classics: Linx – You’re Lying (Aves/Chrysalis)

David Grant went on to form Linx back in 1980. Back at the time, the group was a quintet consisiting of Bob Carter (keyboards), Andy Duncan (drums) and Canute Edwards (guitar). Not to mention Peter Michael Martin aka Sketch on (bass). Linx turning into a duo soon after the release of ‘You’re Lying’. This by the likes of the latter along with Grant.

Initially released on indie label Aves Records back in 1980, ‘You’re Lying’ got further exposure the year after as a part of Linx‘s debut-album, ‘Intuition’. Thus, pretty much illustrative as to what the Brits are in terms of groove. Thus running on a Funk bass-driven jazzy mood.

Linx disbanded though two years later. With Grant goin’ for a solo career. Eventually remembered for his cover version of the Spinners‘s ‘Could It Be I’m Falling In Love’ along with Jaki Graham
