Lionel Richie – All Night Long (All Night) (Motown)

The co-lead singer of The Commodores until 1982, Lionel Richie went on to pursue a solo career from then, eventually balancing between ballads and groovier cuts just the way he did along with his former group, and becoming one of the world’s best selling artists of all time. The Commodores had ‘Easy’ and ‘Three Times A Lady’, Richie would have ‘Truly’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Stuck On You’ among others. The Commodores jammed on ‘Brick House’ or ‘Lady (You Bring Me Up)’, Richie rocked on ‘Running With The Night’ and ‘Dancing On The Celling’. The Caribbean flavored ‘All Night Long’ – taken from the 1983 released ‘Can’t Slow Down’ album – to be added to the latter, with production work by the likes of long time collaborator James Anthony Carmichael.
