This Beat Is Mine! (*) Mateo & Matos – Celebrate Life (Large)
Unlike what many may feel, club music isn’t necessarily about havin’ people shakin’ their buts, even though New Yorkers John “Roc” Mateo and Eddie “E-Z” Matos have committed the perfect crime on this fierce jam of theirs, brilliantly melting arrangements inherited from Disco over a killer funky bassline. No folks, here we talk about a true expression of Soul Music, with a social message – quite premonitory as a matter of fact – speaking about the necessity of “stop fighting and unite”, with thanks to singer Sam Lopez for a vibrant vocal performance. A message which, 16 years after its release back in 2000, still remains so up to date. Time to ‘Celebrate Life’ then, don’t you think???

This Beat Is Mine! (*) Once in a week (on Wednesdays), Indamixworldwide is left with you at the command!
For this to happen, nothing’s more easy… What you’ve just got to do is drop us a line while using our contact form and let us know about your favorite piece of music (*), along with a review explaining what it suggests you and why people should dig it. And the best of it will be given a publication with your credit the week after.
With warm thanks to Boston, MA-based correspondent, Jeremiah Cooper, for this week’s suggestion…
Gladly welcoming yours to be published next Wednesday. On your marks!
