Single Of The Week: Monica Mira & Raidel feat. Maximilian G – Love The Way (Original Mix) (Purple Music)
Love the way this sounds. Hence the presence of this gem in our columns, meaning by that the one of all the ingredients to make of it our current Single Of The Week by the time reading these lines.
Hate it or love it! The feeling is instant, bringing back to the glamorous days of Disco. With artists from all over the world adding their contribution to it back then. Thus giving birth to some of the most unsuspected blends one might have thought of at the time. And this is exactly what to expect here when havin’ a listen to Maximilian G‘s vocal performance. Itself somehow reminding of Barry Manilow (remember ‘Copacabana’?) along with captivating strings as a matter of fact…

Monica Mira has the temper of a passionate woman. Something you can feel whatever she may be trying. From the events she may be hosting. To the productions she’s put together.
Hailing from Barcelona, she naturally found a natural playground in Ibiza. In other words, the place to be during the Summer where she made herself a name while delivering weekly podcasts for Ibiza Global Radio. But also with her memorable Saturday ‘Ladys Soul’ nighters at Km5.
She came to study acting, singing and composing while in New York City. Eventually adding a cursus in DJing and production in her hometown at the Official Academy of DJ’s.
A lover of deep and soulful vibes, Jazz, Soul and vocal House Music are where her roots are to be found. The first traces we found of her bring us back to the mid 2000’s. Contributing to the Roger Sanchez‘s 2006 ‘Come With Me’ This as the guest vocalist of ‘Soledad’ which she also happened to write.
With her name also appearing on a few pieces of music for the film industry in Spain, Monica Mira delivered her debut-single by the Spring of 2014. This while joinin’ forces with Zaragoza-based DJ producer Daniel Trim and singer Maximilian G on ‘High Enough’ on Purple Music. A gem which came up with an additional remix courtesy of Inaki Garcia.
Mira would give it a follow-up the year after, on the same label. This while sharing the bill with Raidel and Maximilian G on the Disco fueled ‘Love The Way’ which we welcomed as our Single Of The Week at the time.
