O’Man Blues feat. Dindy – Rise

Single Of The Week: O’Man Blues feat. Dindy – Rise (Mark Francis Re-Edit) (Quantize Recordings)

The enlightening ‘Rise’ made it first appearance back in November last year as a part of the Mark Francis Live At Club Shelter compilation album. In other words, at a time when we were taken into some maintenance work. This most likely explaining how we came to pass on it.

Lucky we, Quantize Recordings has had the good idea to release it as a single. This givin’ us to welcome the way we feel we have to. In other words, as our current Single Of The Week. And what a piece of art it is. From its uplifting lyrics. To its emotional interpretation by the likes of the sweeter than sweet Dindy. With Mark Francis’s Re-Editing work standing as the icing on the cake. Let’s go for a blowin’ “Rise”…

Overview
Mark Francis has become a force to count with. An avid music listener and collector, he studied the artistry of the insanely talented DJ’s that influenced his career such as Tyrone Francis, Timmy Regisford, and Jihad Muhammad.
Mark developed his own niche; an innate ability to ride and blend tracks that take the dancer on a rhythmic journey. Since 2008, he’s been a member of the Shelter family.

On the production front, he put out his first EP, ‘London Girls’ on London label Tribe Records by late 2014. Since then, he has dropped regular gems on labels such as Tribe, Quantize Recordings and Makin Moves among others. With many of them catching our attention on these shores. From productions such as ‘I Need Your Love’ along with Mike City. To remixes such as ‘I Fantasize’ or ‘The Cure’ for The Rhythm Sessions featuring Portia Monique to name a few. With O’Man Blues feat. Dindy‘s ‘Rise’ makin’ no exception…
