First Listen! Ryo-Chin feat. Masmin – Sweet Tone (English Version) (Soulstar Records)
Hailing from Naha, Okinawa Ryo Kinjo aka Ryo-Chin is no new comer. Renowned for lush joints such as his recent remix of Harley & Muscle‘s ‘Feeling Good’ featuring Lisa Shaw, he is a force to count with.
This cool joint makes no exception following a deep progression over a rumblin’ bassline enlightened with sweet vibes.
A definitive Summer bliss, with production work courtesy of Flavio Romaniello of the Harley & Muscle fame.
‘Sweet Tone’ is definitely what this is about with thanks to female singer Masmin.

Flavio Romaniello and Stefano ‘Stevie Slow’ Proietti gave birth to Harley & Muscle back in the mid-90’s. Among the most attaching and cool dudes in the House scene, their discography just speaks for itself in terms of production, remixes and compilations. And so do the list of artists they collaborated with. From India, Byron Stingily and Robert Owens. To Dawn Tallman, Gerideau and Lem Springsteen.
If ever asked to define their approach, I would come up with adjectives such as soulful, festive and straight forward. As many things which define their temper in addition to a bit of exhuberance, referring to the meetings we had in Miami…
Flavio and his partner most likely favor the fun when far from their studio. But I suppose this has to be considered as the counterpart of a rare workaholism. They produce, they do regular remixes, they spin here or there. But they also own and manage German labels Soulstar Records and Little Angel Records. And as if it wasn’t enough they also own and manage H&M Productions. A multi service company dealing with communication & events management, music engineering and way more.
