Seal – Crazy (ZTT)

On the heels of the emblematic ‘Killer’ alongside producer Adamski, Seal going solo after a dispute with the latter on this no-less illustrative cut, with both of them bringing him to receive the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award, for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, respectively in 1990 and 1991.
‘Crazy’ is marked by an ambient atmosphere inherited from producer and ZTT label manager Trevor Horn‘s influences, a man who, apart from Frankie Goes To Hollywood‘s worldwide recognition, is also remembered for producing ‘Grace Jones‘s ‘Slave To The Rhythm’, Propaganda‘s ‘Dr. Mabuse’ and Art Of Noise‘s ‘Moments In Love’, to name but a few.
