The Underground Solution – Luv’ Dancing

Classics: The Underground Solution – Luv’ Dancing (In Deep mix) (Strictly Rhythm)

“You’ve got me luv’ dancing…” And God knows how Roger Sanchez has!
An in-demand remixer, the man has been responsible for an impressive repertoire along with time. Eventually launching his own Stealth Records label by the beginning of the 2000’s…

‘Luv Dancing’, one of his most famous classics, brings us back to a time when we would talk about (early) Deep House. But also Garage when not Jersey Sound. Such as depicted by Abigail Adams (Movin’ Records) and Tony Humphries on the issue #3 of the memorable BMG Dance International Video Mag series. The magnetic ‘Luv Dancing’ comin’ up as an illustration to the latter. Thus pretty much remembered as an anthem at Jersey’s famous club the Zanzibar. And, in the meantime standing among the definitive vaults of seminal label Strictly Rhythm.

Strangely enough ‘Luv’ Dancing’ is the only cut that saw the light under Sanchez‘s The Underground Solution guise. Subtly borrowing elements of Carl Bean‘s ‘I Was Born This Way’ and C.O.D.‘s ‘In The Bottle’. Not to mention Loose Joints‘ ‘Is It All Over My Face’…
A definitive must have from the period, with singer Jasmine featuring contributing to an alternative version…

Besides, I wouldn’t be that surprised hearing Maya Schenk found some influence in it when crafting the syncopated ‘2017’ back in… 2015!
