Toto – Africa (Columbia)

Best remembered for his work as a member of Los Angeles-based collective of studio musicians Toto along with guitarist Steve Lukather, keyboard player Greg Phillinganes, keyboardist David Paich, and his two brothers (Steve on keyboard and the recently deceased Mike on bass), Jeff Porcaro managed to be the most sought after drummer from the mid-70’s to the early 80’s. His client list including artists such as Michael Jackson, George Benson, Steely Dan, Ricky Lee Jones, Miles Davis and Al Jarreau among countless others.
Renowned for hits such as ‘Georgy Porgy’ covered by Charme featuring Luther Vandross, ‘Africa’ stands among their signature cuts along with ‘Rosanna’ and ‘I Won’t Hold You Back’ taken from their 1982 released ‘Toto IV’ album which marked the zenith of their career…
