Whitney Houston VS Jaqué – Love Will Save The Day

Whitney Houston – Love Will Save The Day (Morales/Jellybean Classic House Mix) (Arista)
Not the most successful piece taken from the 1987 released ‘Whitney’ album, but our fav here on IDMW. Most likely because of its social connotation and evergreen message. Written by Toni C, produced by John Jellybean Benitez (reknown for his previous collaborations with Madonna) and featuring top-notched musicians such as Roy Ayers on vibes, Paul Jackson, Jr. on guitar, Fred Zarr on synths, and Paulinho Da Costa + Sammy Figueroa (Miles Davis, Chic) on percussion. With its best version given a Housey feel, as remixed by David Morales and Jellybean, who would release a boiling cover version of it on his own label back in 2004 by the likes of Jaqué
Jaqué – Love Will Save The Day (Ain’t Nothing But A House Party Vocal Mix) (Jellybean Soul)
Havin’ made herself quite a reputation in the Big Apple with her energetic performances, Jackie Perkins, better known as JaQuita or Jaqué made quite a sensation back in 2004 with her cover version of Whitney Houston‘s classic of the likes, givin’ it another dimension, while beautifully served productionwise by Underground Collective Recordings mastermind Marlon D, along with firing keys by the likes of Albert ‘Sterling’ Melendez and Dennis Ferrer on John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez‘s Jellybean Soul label…
