Wu-Tang Clan ‎- CREAM (Cash Rules Everything Around Me)

B’klyn-born Ol’Dirty Bastard came to prominence back in 1992, forming Wu-Tang Clan along with RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Masta Killa, soon after joined by Cappadonna. Seen by some as the #1 greatest Hip-Hop group of all time, WTC released their debut-album – ‘Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ – the year after, featuring ‘C.R.E.A.M.’, one of their signature cuts, built on a sample of The Charmels‘s 1967 released ‘As Long As I’ve Got You’, with its title soon after used as a slang term for ‘money’.
ODB, like many of his bandmates, went on to pursue a solo career, eventually collaborating with The Fugees, although it got puncutated with frequent legal troubles and eventually incarceration.
He died of a drug overdose on Nov. 13, 2004, 2 days before his 36th Birthday, and right after havin’ recorded his third solo album which never got released.
